Arnold Schwarzenegger Fathered 13-year-old Son With Housekeeper [Updated With Photos of Maid, Boy]
When former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver announced their separation last week after 25 years of marriage, you know there had to be a reason. Well, we have it. After being probed by the Los Angeles Times, Arnold admitted that he fathered a child more than a decade ago — before his first run for office — with a longtime member of their household staff. In a statement, Arnold said: "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry." That revelation caused Maria to move out of their home earlier this year. The Times did not publish the former staffer’s name nor that of her child but said the woman worked for the family for 20 years and retired in January. She told the Times she "left on good terms" and received a generous severance package. When the Times swooped down on the woman, she told reporters that another man -- her husband at the time -- was the child’s father, but after the governor admitted to the love child, she declined to comment further. Since birth, Arnold has been supporting the child financially.
Update: The skettel has been identified as 50-year-old Mildred Patricia Baena or "Patty" (pictured, below) who made $1,200 per week for cleaning the home and Arnold's johnson. She lives in northwest Bakersfield, Calif. in a 2,325 sq. ft. home she purchased last year with the boy and her three other children. The boy (also pictured, below) is now 13. We blocked out his face, because he's innocent in this scandal, but he looks exactly like his father, Arnold.
Sidebar: Arnold has a thing for Hispanic women. During Arnold's 2006 re-election campaign, a six-minute audio recording surfaced of remarks he made about a female lawmaker in a closed-door speechwriting session. "I mean Cuban, Puerto Rican, they are all very hot," Arnold said. "They have the, you know, part of the black blood in them and part of the Latino blood in them that together makes it."
