Judge Orders Man Who Cursed at His Mother to Pay Her

A court in Lae, Papua New Guinea has ordered a man to pay his mother $230 for swearing at her. According to the report, Clarence Lote swore at his mother Esther last week after she told him to stop swearing at his wife. After unloading a string of expletives, Clarence told his mother it was her fault for giving birth to him. An outraged Ester went to police and filed a complaint. Clarence was arrested and charged with "swearing." If he does not pay his mother the restitution, he will be jailed for six months.
