OJ Simpson Sentenced



OJ Simpson's sentence is in.

The judge, saying the evidence was "overwhelming, sentenced him to a maximum of 30 years in prison. He wil spend at least seven-and-a-half years in prison before he becomes eligible for parole.

OJ was found guilty of all 12 charges he faced in October after more than 13 continuous hours of deliberations, 13 years to the day after he was cleared of double murder in America's "trial of the century". They said Simpson recruited five other men to help him rob two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel room on September 13 last year.

OJ Simpson could be given a life prison term when he is sentenced for kidnapping and armed robbery in Las Vegas.

An all-white jury of nine women and three men unanimously found that Simpson recruited five other men to help him rob two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel room on September 13 last year.
