A Southern hip-hop producer is the ringleader for an elite downlow club (that recently launched) in the south that caters to downlow rap stars.
Members are informed on the whereabouts of parties, just before the start of the party, which is usually held in a rented mansion; like the West Coast DL functions.
They are told not to drive a car, in case paparazzi is lying in wait to take down license plate numbers that will reveal their identities. Instead, they are told where to catch a party bus/shuttle to the secret destination.
Members also have to sign a confidentiality agreement and no cameras or cell phones are allowed on the premises; like the Playboy mansion policy.
Three of the members are rappers, two well-known and one who isn't well-known, outside of the urban community. All of these rappers are men who you would not suspect of being on the DL, they have all been linked romantically to women and have been involved in long-term relationships with women. Prior to this blind item, DL rumors never surrounded them. They are basically new recruits.
Another member is a music executive who is also very well-known.
Out of curiosity, two former NBA players showed up at one of the parties, one is a former superstar, the other is well-known, both men are retired.
They left shortly afterwards when they both realized, it wasn't their scene.
