Radio Anchor Murdered by Gay Jumpoff?

Former WABC radio news anchor George Weber (pictured, right, with NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg) was found murdered inside his Brooklyn apartment on Saturday after failing to report to work for two days.

Weber, who would have turned 48 today, was discovered half-naked in his bed shortly before 10 am inside his Carroll Gardens brownstone apartment with multiple stab wounds to his neck after his bosses, concerned that he hadn't shown up for work, called cops.

Police sources said they believed Weber, who was a regular on the popular Curtis & Kuby program, had been murdered some time on Friday evening.

There were no signs of forced entry at Weber's Henry Street apartment, but a police source said the bathtub spigot was running and neighbors said the apartment had been ransacked.

Police were investigating the possibility he was killed by a male "date".

The murder weapon was not recovered.
