Phife Dawg, a member of the iconic rap group A Tribe Called Quest, called in to talk kidney disease and subsequent kidney transplant surgery. The rapper suffers from diabetes and his wife of four years (Deisha Head Taylor) donated one of her kidneys to him in September 2008. (Both his father and manager offered to donate a kidney, but that never panned out.)
But, being The Experience, Wendy wanted to know all about his personal life, too. And, why not?! He wouldn't expect otherwise, right?
Update: March 23, 2016: Phife Dawg (whose real name is) died today from complications resulting from diabetes. He was 45.
