Phil Spector Found Guilty

Crazy-haired music producer Phil Spector has been found guilty of second-degree murder in a Los Angeles court for the 2003 gruesome shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson.

Clarkson, 40, was found dead, slumped in a chair in the foyer of Spector's Alhambra, California, mansion with a gunshot wound through the roof of her mouth in February 2003. Spector's attorneys argued that Clarkson was depressed over a recent breakup and grabbed a .38-caliber pistol to kill herself while at Spector's home.

This was his second trial on the charge.

The first jury was hung back in 2007 with ten jurors for conviction, two for acquittal, which resulted into a mistrial.

But now, after just 30 hours of deliberation, a second jury has returned a definitive guilty verdict. Spector, the man behind the Beatles' Let It Be, faces a possible 15 years to life sentence.
