Chris Brown's Life is in Danger

There is a hit out on Chris Brown, prompting him to hire a small army of bodyguards, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The death threats, which authorities believe are credible, stem from his alleged beatdown of Rihanna.

The threats appear to come from a group called the "Women’s Protection Action League", but cops think it could be one person acting alone.

Chris is said to be "totally paranoid’’ about the threats on his life and has become obsessed with his security.

Whenever he's seen in public, Chris is accompanied by no fewer than seven bodyguards - three of them are visible and at least four other are "in cognito." (Two of the guards are women.)

Furthermore, there have been some indications the potential assassin could be disguised as a paparazzi!

Update: Chris' people are saying this is not true; he's not receiving death threats.

Update 2: Appeals Court justices in California rejected Chris's effort to delay a preliminary hearing in his assault case. His attorney, Mark Geragos, had attempted to postpone the hearing, which is scheduled for June 22, arguing that a pending state Supreme Court case could allow Brown access to certain relevant police files.
