R Kelly Questioned by South African Police About Claims He Scammed 50 Locals

R Kelly will be questioned by South African police regarding allegations he was involved in an investment scam.

Busisiwe Priscilla Zakwe, implicated R Kelly in an alleged investment scam that apparently swindled money out of more than 50 people in 2005.

Last March, State prosecutor Blackie Swart wrote a letter to R Kelly’s agent Jason Miller lrequesting the singer to explain his involvement in the scam, but he didn't receive a response.

However, since he is currently in South Africa on tour -- after forcibly trying to pick up girls in London last week -- police will question him on Friday.

Zakwe was arrested in 2005 for allegedly taking thousands of rands (the currency of South Africa) from investors by promising them they would benefit from ticket sales if they brought an R Kelly tour to the country that year.

That tour never took place, despite Zakwe's claims that she deposited R10,5 million ($1,290,622) into R Kelly's account.

Zakwe faces 67 charges of fraud and will go on trial July 15.
