Last week news that Whitney's long-awaited album will be released in September, but what's even more exciting will the TV and print interviews to promote it.
According to sources, Whitney will only speak to journalists who promise not to bring up the pink elephant in the room.
“They only want to let her talk to journalists who’ll agree not to ask about her substance abuse,” an insider told the NY Daily News.
In 2002, Whitney told Diane Sawyer she abused alcohol, marijuana, cocaine and pills. It was in that same interview she proclaimed: "Crack is wack!"
We can only only imagine the bidding war currently waging between the morning and late-night shows to see who will get her first.
“The deal is, if they want her, then Matt Lauer, Diane Sawyer or whoever isn’t supposed to ask her tough questions,” the source said.
But don't expect any of the major news or entertainment reporters not to bring up drugs. It simply isn't gonna happen.
