An English teenager killed herself after years of "extreme" bullying by classmates jealous of her looks, according to reports.
Simone Grice, 15, jumped 40ft from a flyover onto a road on Monday night, despite two members of the public begging her not to jump
Her crumpled body was found at the foot of the bridge clinging to her cell phone and her favorite doll.
Her family had recently started tutoring her at home because of the abuse she was receiving.
Her mother, Linda, said bullies at her school would spit at her, throw stones and call her names.
"They were always looking to beat her up. She became very emotional, very fragile," she said. "She took her own life because she was the victim of extreme bullying at school. She was always targeted and it was very intense. We called the school - and eventually the police many times - but it still carried on, incident after incident.
"The school tried to help but it continued for years and eventually I had to take her out of school and she was being home tutored.
"She was a beautiful girl and others girls sometimes have a problem with that. She was picked on because she was pretty.
"But she wasn't just pretty - she was clever and a really nice person. But she was shy and the bullies took advantage of that."
Her boyfriend has recently broke up with her, too.
