Obama, Oprah Powerful in Chicago, Not So Much With IOC

For the first time an Olympic Games will be held in South America. The city of Rio de Janeiro, to be exact. The International Olympic Committee made the no so surprising decision this evening in Copenhagen, Denmark.

But the surprising moment came as Chicago, the only American city in the running, was eliminated in the first round. This comes after President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama made a one-day trip (costing taxpayers more than $3 million) to Copenhagen. The Obamas gave impassioned pleas as to why their home town of Chicago would make the best host, while Oprah tried to lobby support.

In the end, the 2016 Olympic Games were award to Rio.

If you haven't been to Rio or Brazil, you must. It's truly one of the most beautiful places on earth and the people are gorgeous! True, there is a high crime rate, but there's crime in Chicago, too.

Pure joy!

I can't help but get a chuckle out of this. I can say that without question I'm all for team Obama, but Oprah!!!?? Please heffa! She appalls me more than ever. Her recent antics are such a turn off.
