Charlie Sheen Will Cut a Bitch
While you were having dinner with your family last Christmas, actor Charlie Sheen was getting arrested -- again.
According to the folks over at TMZ, Charlie's wife, Brooke Mueller, told police that Charlie was in possession of a knife and threatened her with it at their home in Aspen, Colorado after she asked for a divorce. (Additional reports say he choked her.)
Brooke (who may or may not be drunk at at the time) called police and Charlie was arrested and charged with suspicion of second-degree assault, a felony, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
He will likely be charged with menacing, too. It's a class-five felony that entails allegedly using a weapon in a threatening way. That charge usually carries a sentence of two to eight years in prison and a fine of $2,000 to $500,000.
After posting an $8,500 bond, he was released.
According to reports, Brooke obtained a restraining order against Charlie, prior to this incident. She's since recanted her story about the knife incident. (Charlie apparently told police Brooke started the fight and he was merely defending himself.)
Beating up women (OK, allegedly) is a pattern for Charlie. In 1997, he was tried for attacking his then-girlfriend Brittany Ashland at his home in Agoura Hills.
