Man Arrested After Sexting Ashanti's Mom

An Indiana man has been arrested after cops say he was trying to holla at Ashanti, through her mother, Tina Douglas.

Who? Earlier this decade Ashanti used to be on the Billboard charts and was dropped by her record label earlier this year; Tina is her mom-ager.

Got it? OK, good.

Devar Hurd, 31, is accused of stalking and harassing Tina with 32 text messages between May 29 and July 18 and numerous phone calls in February, the New York Daily News reports. He was arrested July 22 in Griffith, Ind., where he lives, and, since then, he has been locked up at Rikers Island.

According to documents filed in court, Devar sent nude photos, a photo of Ashanti's car and these hilarious text messages to Tina:

On May 29 he wrote: “Hey Tina baby, how u doing sexy. Tell Shani I’m coming straight home from work to put in sum over time. U know how I do, LOL.”

In June he wrote: “I had a nice dream about us shani we was at your place and had a event and u was singing. I was feeling so good because we was finally past this and living together.”

Later than month he wrote: “Shany I need a huge and a kiss baby so I can palm and smack that booty lol.”

We can't!!!

Devar, 31, is charged with 28 misdemeanor counts of stalking and aggravated harassment and faces up to two years in prison if convicted at trial. He's pleaded not guilty and is being held on $50,000 bond. The case goes to trial on Monday.
