Barry Bonds' Son Pleads Not Guilty to Fighting Mom
Nikolai Lamar Bonds, the 20-year-old son of former San Francisco Giants star Barry Bonds pleaded not guilty yesterday to numerous misdemeanor charges related to a fight last month between him and his mother.
Nikolai is facing five misdemeanor charges after an argument with his mother Dec. 5 in their Menlo Park home. According to reports, the fight began as a disagreement over some jewelry that was missing from the home.
According to police, Nikolai threw a doorknob at his mother, 45-year-old Sun Bonds, spit in her face and and physically stopped her from escaping their house after a Dec. 5 confrontation. He then smashed a crystal bowl and some furniture and when cops were placing Nikolai under arrest, he threatened to kill the officer and harm his family.
What?!
He faces one count each of battery, false imprisonment and vandalism for allegedly spitting on his mother, preventing her from leaving and destroying her property. The fourth and fifth misdemeanor counts of obstructing justice and threatening an officer, stem from his behavior during his arrest.
