Authorities in South Carolina say a 911 call in which a man said he “killed a girl” in a park was a hoax created by the girl who says she was attacked. Pearl Brown, 16, confessed Tuesday that she made the call and disguised her voice to sound like a man. She also made the call from her cell phone. Last Friday cops found Pearl unconscious in a Mauldin park on Friday morning. She initially said she was sitting on a park bench when the man tried to talk to her. When she started to walk away, the man grabbed her from behind and slammed her head twice into a pole. She even went so far as to provide a suspect description that police used to create a sketch. Charges are pending against her.
