There have been reports headaches, dizziness, nausea and blurry eyesight from viewers of Avatar (and other films rich in 3D imagery), but this may the most serious case.

A 42-year-old Taiwanese man with a history of high blood pressure has died of a stroke likely triggered by over-excitement from watching Avatar in 3D, reports Australia's Special Broadcasting Service.

According to witnesses, the man, identified only by his last name Kuo, started to feel sick at the movie theatre earlier this month in the northern city of Hsinchu and was taken to hospital.

Kuo was unconscious when he arrived a scan showed that his brain was hemorrhaging.

He died 11 days later.
