Well, he was found guilty of second degree child cruelty charges this morning.
Appearing in court this morning, a judged sentenced 61-year-old Roger Stephens to six months in jail -- with credit for time-served -- followed by six months home confinement and four years probation.
This stems from an incident last year where he slapped 2-year-old child, Page Matthews, at a Stone Mountain, Ga. Wal-Mart because she wouldn't stop crying.
At the hearing the Page's mother said she was thisclose to beating Roger's ass.
"That's what kids do," she added. "And for him not to know that at 61 years of age, means he has to have mental issues."
During his confinement, he will get a mental evaluation and treatment and during probation he must be supervised any time he is with or anywhere near children under the age of 12.
BTW: With credit for time-served, he will be out of jail in five weeks.
