ITV, the British TV company behind the Australian version of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here has been convicted of animal cruelty, after a rat was killed and eaten by contestants.
The company actually plead guilty to the charge, after admitting its production staff had given the go-ahead to a request to kill the rat. It was fined $2600 and ordered to pay $2175 in additional costs.
