British have charged 33-year-old Staci Hargreaves with stabbing her boyfriend, Gavin Taylor, 28, in the eye with her 4-inch heel 2am yesterday morning.
The shoe is believed to have pierced Gavin's eye, passed through his eye socket and touched his brain.
Neighbors told to The Sun newspaper the kickation was an accident.
"They're boyfriend and girlfriend. He was in the front of the taxi, she was in the back. It was a kick....He was on a night out and this is a domestic gone wrong," they said.
Gavin was in a critical but stable condition and Staci was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and could face life in prison.
