A man is in the hospital after a bizarre stabbing at The Bakery Café in midtown Mobile. The manager says the man walked into the restaurant around 4pm Monday and asked for turkey gravy. When the manager said they didn't have any, witnesses say the man went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife and started stabbing himself. Authorities say he did not threaten any employees or customers, but he had to be subdued by police. The man appeared to have wounds on his arm, and he was taken out of the restaurant on a stretcher. His name and condition have not been released.

Is turkey gravy something restaurants in Mobile, Ala. sell on its own? The cafe's staff say the man didn't threaten anyone with the knife, but cops said he tried to resist their help. So, either dude (pictured above being wheeled out on a strecther) has a serious mental ailment or he's a giant attention whore.
