Student Stabs Roommate to Death Because He Wouldn't Stop Snoring

A Chinese university student has confessed to stabbing to death a roommate because of his snoring.

The victim, 22-year-old Zhao Yan, was stabbed in the chest and back in the middle of the night as he slept.

Guo Liwei, the 23-year-old murderer, says: "I told Zhao about it [snoring] and he became angry. He verbally abused me several times, prompting me to kill him."

According to reports, Guo had previously complained to Zhao about his snoring and posted video of him snoring on a university Web site, which created more tension between the two.
