Yesterday, during a vigil for victims of the terrorist bombing on the Moscow subway, Russia’s oldest human rights activist, 82-year-old Lyudmila Alekseyeva, got smacked up side the head by a man (who was swiftly taken down, arrested and charged).

Lyudmila: “I’m alive. Perhaps there is a slight concussion....I am an old woman. I am a law-abiding citizen. If a young guy beating an old woman, it’s not normal.”
