Meet Notre Dame's First Black Valedictorian

Katie Washington, a biological science major (with a 4.0 GPA) from Gary, Ind. will make history next month as the first black valedictorian at the University of Notre Dame, reports the Northwest Indiana Times.

Although she's not sure what type of doctor she wants to be, Katie will pursue a joint M.D./Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University" and plans to train as a physician scientist with the intention of treating patients with disease."

BTW: This girl has been making straight A's since high school. Now, that's something.
