'Golden Girl' Rue McClanahan is Dead

It's a sad day for Golden Girls fans. Blanche is gone.

Rue McClanahan, who played the over-sexed Blanche Devereaux on the legendary TV series "The Golden Girls," died at 1am this morning after suffering a massive stroke. She was 76. At the time of her death, she was recovering from a stroke she suffered last November that left her paralyzed and with slurred speech.

Thank you for being a friend, Rue. RIP.

Update: Betty White, 88, who's the last surviving member of the cast said in a statement, "Rue was a close and dear friend. I treasured our relationship. It hurts more than I ever thought it would, if that's even possible."
