WATCH: Ted, Aretha, Baby

DRAMA! Ted Williams, the homeless man who went from living in a tent to Hollywood, was detained yesterday in Los Angeles. He says his 29-year-old daughter, Janey Williams, attacked him in a hotel room. Janey, who too wants her moment in the spotlight, says her father, who claimed to be sober for at least two years, is back on the sauce. Ted is now in rehab for alcohol and drug abuse.



Aretha Franklin called into Wendy's TV show this morning to talk about her health --which she says is "superb" -- and her love life. Plus, she wants Halle Berry to play her in the upcoming biopic. *side-eye* (UPDATE: We hate to gossip...but, the $3,000 per night MGM Grand hotel in Detroit where Aretha says she's been luxuriating, was the site of a $180,000 farewell (read: you're about to die, so bye) party, which was held last week. That's according to the Enquirer, who broke the news that Aretha is suffering from pancreatic cancer and has weeks to live. The party, which was attended by the singer's family and close friends, was like "an open house" and she spared no expense -- "fresh flowers, fine linens and scented candles made the suits look like a palace and Aretha ordered up a smorgasbord of everything she loves - from lobster, shrimp, smoked salmon, prime rib and filet mignon, to an array of desserts, fruits and deli meats." And of course there was an open bar. Heeeyyyyyyyy!!!!!!)
