Mother Tries to Cremate Son in Oven

Terrie A. Robinson, 24, from [Greenville] Mississippi, was arrested yesterday after police found her son Tristan's burned body inside the electric oven at her apartment. Washington County Coroner Methel Johnson said the child had been burned in the oven, but an autopsy was ordered to determine whether he died before or after being put there. The child's body was still warm when it was removed from the appliance. Mr Johnson said of the incident: "This is a really sad moment for me. I've seen a lot of things, but this is one that will stick in my memory for a long, long time." There appeared to be some trauma to the three-year-old's head and it was possible that could have happened before he was placed in the oven. Officers found the body after responding to an emergency call, but no details were released at this time.

Terrie was charged with murder at a hearing today; the judge set her bond at $5 million, we all can feel safer that she'll never be back on the streets again.
