Priest Offers to Give Jailer a Professional

Fr. Ignatius J. Kury II, who's an priest at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church in Akron, Ohio, was arrested for DUI -- his fourth! -- certainly has a vivid imagination and like anyone facing serious jail time, he's gonna do everything he can to remain a free man. Even that is pulling out your kneepads and giving the arresting officer a professional.

Police arrested Kury around midnight Sunday after he had driven the Chrysler into a swamp near the corner Meloy and Sandylake roads. When police approached the car, Kury crawled over into the back seat and put a jacket over his head, according to the police report and Police Chief David Blough. When asked to step out of the car, Kury told police that he couldn't because he was "a contestant on American Idol." He also told police that Oprah Winfrey was going to come after the police for what they were doing to him. When he finally was brought out of the car, they charged him with OVI and failure to control his car. While Kury was in the township police's holding cell, police say that he dropped his pants, exposed himself, and made sexual comments and overtures to police officers. Blough said Kury was released to a family member Monday. Blough said police videotaped Kury in the holding cell the whole time. Kury also told police that he "never should have gone to the Oscar party." "We normally do not videotape our holding cells, but he was acting so strangely that we felt we should," Blough told Channel 3 News. "He acted very strange until a family member came and picked him up." Blough said Kury's blood-alcohol level was 0.20 percent, more than twice the legal limit.

The sexual comments the 35-year-old made to the jailer were: "you want me to give you a blowjob? Is that what you want?” He wasn't the jailer's type, apparently.
