Elizabeth Taylor Was Buried Today

A private funeral service was held today at Forest Lawn Memorial Park for legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor. The legendary actress, who died yesterday from congestive heart failure, was interred in the cemetery's Great Mausoleum, the same building where her close friend, Michael Jackson is entombed, as well as film stars such as Jean Harlow, Carole Lombard and Clark Gable. Elizabeth, who converted to Judaism in 1959, when she was 27, and took the Hebrew name Elisheva Rachel, must be buried within 24 hours of death, per Jewish law. The service was restricted to family members, including her 10 grandchildren. Details about a public memorial will be released at a later date.
