As we reported last week, Bishop Eddie Long is thisclose (or have already) settling the lawsuits brought against him by four men who accused the megachurch pastor of coercing them into sex when they were teenagers. While he isn't allowed to discuss what's happening in 12-hour negotiations, Bishop Long took to his bully pulpit yesterday to send several cryptic messages at his accusers. “You ain't messin’ with me. I shall rise again and I ain't going through this,” he said. And during another sermon: “You have to go down there and let the devil know that what they thought was gonna kill you, didn't kill you. What they thought was gonna bring terror to you, didn't bring terror to you and you made the enemies public spectacle." It was on that same pulpit not long ago, he vowed to fight the charges so him settling out of court makes you wanna go, hmmmmmmm, how you doin!
