LeBron James' Mother Flies into Drunken Rage, Assaults Parking Attendant

Gloria James, the mother of Miami Heat forward LeBron is a messy drunk. The 43-year-old was arrested early this morning in Miami, Florida after she smacked a valet attendant in the face during an argument with him outside the ultra-swanky Fontainebleau hotel.

According to the police report (below), Gloria requested her vehicle from the valet who quickly brought it to the valet ramp but was left running for 30 minutes as she talked to other hotel patrons.

The valet, identified by police as Rockfeller Sorel, finally turned off the SUV and gave the keys to the valet cashier. A short time later, Gloria came looking for her car, saying "where are my f--king keys" and yelling profanities at the valet "then, for no apparent reason [Gloria] struck the victim with an open hand across the right side of his face and in the process causing herself to lose her balance and falling to the ground," the report states.

When police arrived, Gloria was in the SUV with another woman behind the wheel, about to leave and when the officer asked her what happened, she refused to speak. The woman behind the wheel told the officer that Gloria and the valet had a "verbal altercation" over how he retrieved her car and that they "got up into each others faces over the incident." Gloria then told the other woman not to give the officer anything.

Gloria was arrested and placed in a patrol car (photo, above). She had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. At the police station, Gloria was "very uncooperative", but told an officer: "I'm trying to trust you but I don't trust your kind. I don't trust that officer that arrested me."

After refusing to cooperate or have her picture taken, she was released to Heat exec Steve Stowe.

Gloria was charged with simple battery and disorderly intoxication. Back in January 2006, she pleaded no contest to four charges stemming from a drunken driving arrest. As part of the plea deal, she was sentenced to 100 hours of community service, ordered to attend a three-day driver intervention program and ordered to pay $486 in fines and another $150 to replace a window she kicked out of a police cruiser. Her license was also suspended for one year.

And last year, it was revealed that mama Gloria was boning LeBron's teammate Delonte West. Very, very messy, indeed.
