Homeless Man Panhandles to Help Woman Get Back on Her Feet

Curtis Jackson is the kind of person we should all aspire to become. Every day since December, Curtis, who's been homeless since 2004, has been giving the money he makes from panhandling to a woman and her 10-year-old son. Curtis met the woman last year when she worked as a banker and she was always kind to him. She lost her job and her home then moved into her truck, but DCFS threatened to take away her son if she didn't find a safe place to stay. So she moved into a hotel and every night Curtis dumps a bucket of loose change to cover the woman's stay. In all, he's donated about $9,000. If you're in Chicago, go say hi. He works on corner of 55th and Harlem.
