Using a huge mobile barbecue pit donated by Jamie French and Arlie Ashley and enlisting his son, Anthony, as grill master, Robinson dished out free hamburgers, chips and drinks Tuesday outside his D&F Battery and Electric Inc. business on U.S. Highway 180 East. Robinson said they cooked and served about 450 burgers. “Osama's dead and I'm glad and everybody can have a free hamburger, chips and drink,” Robinson said. “This is a great day for America and nobody's beating the drum loud enough for me.” But it was about more than giving away free food. “A lot of people stopped by to tell their stories,” he said....“A lot of people stopped to talk, some decided not to eat and some did, saving their wives from doing some cooking for one night,” he said. “I thought people should be making a bigger deal of this, so I decided to make it a bigger deal,” he said, as cars continued to pull up Tuesday evening to share their feelings about the historic moment in U.S. history and grab some free grub.Quin Robinson. Man Celebrates Osama bin Laden's Death By Throwing a Cookout
Quin Robinson of Mineral Wells, Texas says there wasn't enough celebration of Osama bin Laden's death, so he decided to take matters into his own hands and make an event out of it. On Tuesday, he held a cookout -- complete with a giant white banner with the big, bold red letters that read “OSAMA IS DEAD.”
