A man from Vernal, Utah has been charged with disorderly conduct after he paid for a disputed medical bill in pennies. According to police, Jason West went to Basin Clinic prepared to dispute the $25 bill he claims he did not owe. After asking if the clinic accepted cash, the 38-year-old dumped 2,500 pennies onto the counter and demanded that they count it. The clinic staff was alarmed and called 911. They cited Jason with disorderly conduct -- which carrie a $140 fine. We wonder how he'll pay that.
Sidebar: While pennies are "money", the law says you can't use more than 25 of them at a time to settle a debt.
