What's that smell? Your birthday cake! Three former students at Avon Grove High School in West Chester, Pennsylvania pleaded guilty Monday to frosting a birthday cake for a classmate with human feces. According to the Daily Local, Mayra Flores, 19, Ana Mireles, 18, and Sandra Ortiz, 18, all of Avondale – were sentenced to 22 months of probation on charges of recklessly endangering another person and conspiracy in connection with the March incident that was reported to state police by high school officials. The unidentified victim told an assistant principal that she, her mother and three siblings got sick after eating a cake that four of her classmates had given her for her birthday on March 23. The victim told the assistant principal that the cake tasted bad, so her family threw it in the trash and it started to smell, the girl took it out and brought it to school with her. The four students admitted that they had put the feces they had gotten from a toilet in Sandra’s home on the cake, “as a prank.” Officials sent the cake to the state Health Department lab for testing. The lab found the presence of E coli bacteria on the cake, proving the presence of human feces. The three girls were also ordered to complete 200 hours of community service -- scrubbing toilets, urinals, and bed pans at area senior centers or nursing homes, or picking up dog droppings from area parks. The fourth perp, a juvenile, has not yet been sentenced, but Ana, Mayra and Sandra all say they will testify against her. We wonder if these mean girls saw The Help?source: Daily Local
