Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice, husband of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, was indicted by New Jersey jury this afternoon on charges that he fraudulently obtained a New Jersey driver’s license, reports The Record. According to investigators, Joe obtained a driver’s license at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission office in Paterson in June 2010 using his brother's (Pietro Giudice) marriage and birth certificates. This scam was found out after Pietro Giudice was pulled over during a routine traffic stop. When the officer ran his information, the search yielded Pietro’s information but Joe’s photograph. Joe -- whose license was suspended at the time, and is still suspended -- was charged with wrongfully using identifying information and faces up 10 years in prison. A lesser charge of impersonation carries a maximum 18-month prison sentence. Joe is quite the catch. Last year, he was sentenced to 10 days in jail for drunken driving. That, by the way, was his second stint in jail for driving while drunk. His first was allegedly in 2006. Last January, a bankruptcy court judge ruled that he forged the name of his former business partner on documents related to the discharge of a mortgage of an apartment house. Less than a week after the former business partner noticed the scam, Joe and Teresa filed for bankruptcy.
