Are leprechauns ambushing people on the streets of Seattle? One man says he has the bruises to prove it.
A man claims that “a bunch of leprechauns” assaulted him for dancing with a woman. Police were called to the Seattle neighborhood of Belltown early Saturday morning to investigate reports of a fight in progress, KOMO-TV reports. When they arrived, they allegedly saw several people fleeing the scene, leaving one man covered in blood and screaming in pain as he held his head in his hands. Responding officers questioned the man as to the identity of his attackers. “It was a bunch of leprechauns,” he reportedly replied, according to KOMO, adding that they were mad that he danced with a certain woman. When pressed, the man said one of his attackers was wearing a white tank top. He did not offer any more information about the leprechauns, however. A witness told authorities that a group of men were to blame, the station learned. The victim was reportedly taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he was treated for head injuries sustained in the fight, as well as multiple bruises and cuts to his face, back, knuckles and elbows. Authorities are still searching for the men – possibly small and dressed in green – responsible for the attack.
