One crazy person is off the streets tonight. According to police in Newport, Tennessee, 40-year-old Rebecca Strong and her neighbor, Earl Victor Williams, 42, were arguing for most of the day about food she had loaned him. Earlier that day, Rebecca noticed Earl entering his apartment with a beer, so she asked him to repay some of the food she had loaned him so she could buy food for her children. Depending who which report you believe -- the TV report, above, or the police report -- Earl either refused to give Rebecca any money or he handed her $5. But what's not in dispute is what happened next: Rebecca jumped into her minivan and ran over Earl then fled the scene. He suffered compound fractures and a head injury and remains hospitalized. Rebecca was arrested and charged with driving without insurance, driving on a revoked license, vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an accident.
