Lady Shoots Up TV Station For 'Telling Her Story Without Her Permission'
Around 9am this morning, 44-year-old Michelle Monique Burks drove to KTRK, the Houston ABC affiliate, then pulled out a semi-automatic gun and fired several shots into the building. No one was injured. Michelle was arrested shortly after the shooting this morning and charged with felony deadly conduct. Police also believe Michelle was responsible for an incident in front KTRK around 5:40am on Feb. 20 where were fired toward the parking lot. There were no injuries in that incident, but five cars were damaged by bullets. It's unclear why Michelle shot up the building, but a look at her Facebook page shows she was unstable and on the brink of snapping. She posted results of her pap smear in an effort to prove "that I am a lady and have not been sexually active. So, those who have been exploiting me nude and saying that I am not a lady and that I'm a prostitue (sic) or, saying that I am adult entertainment, are guilty of a crime of adult exploitation and defamation. This means that I am innocent and that they are purposely committing a crime against the innocent." Was someone at KTRK running stories that she was unfaithful to her then husband and is a man? We're not sure, but she did accuse a KTRK anchor of stealing stolen her identity then “contacted SSA and told them that I had a secret, that my name is Michelle Marie Burks. And [an ABC network anchor] of abc13 sent SSA a picture of me and my 2nd ex-husband on my sofa in my home and sent it to SSA saying I was performing pornography on TV.” Cuckoo.
Here are a few interesting posts from her Facebook page.
She sent this message to ESPN reporter Jesse Palmer.
