Pregnant Woman Drives Minivan With Children Into Ocean

Here's shocking video of a pregnant South Carolina mother driving her minivan with three children -- ages 3, 9 and 10 -- trapped inside into the Atlantic Ocean Tuesday afternoon. Witnesses ran into the surf in Daytona Beach, Florida desperately trying to stop the minivan from driving farther into the ocean. The children were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The unidentified mother -- who was interviewed by police two hours before the incident and told them she was taking herself and the children to a shelter to escape the physical abuse of her ex -- was described as incoherent and uncooperative after the rescue. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is still interviewing the children and no charges have yet been filed against the woman.
