Meanwhile, in Florida

James Myles, 25, of Miami, Florida, is facing one charge of kidnapping after holding a homeless 19-year-old woman, whom he met on an online dating site, against her will for several days. Homeless, yet still on a dating site, you ask? Welcome to 2014! According to police, Jazzima Barnes and James made arrangements to meet each other over the weekend, but on Tuesday when she attempted to leave he violently held her. She ended up dialing 911 using her disconnected cell phone at around 12:30 a.m Wednesday morning. Investigators say Jazzima was still on the phone with dispatch when James attacked her. “As she attempted to get out, that’s when he got a little more violent. That’s when he battered her several times and this was during while the line was open with 911 so the dispatchers were able to provide real time information to the units that were attempting to find her and finally when she was able to give a more defined location, that’s when they went ahead and were able to locate her,” Det. Alvaro Zabaleta of Miami-Dade Police said. James' sister, Anquette Myles, is calling BS on this story. She says the couple has been dating for a few weeks and Jazzima lied to police about being held against her will. "He left several times, and she never attempted to try and leave or nothing," Anquette said. "If she really wanted to leave, she could have. There was no one here but her." James is being held without bond.
