Cops Find Meth Lab Inside Walmart Restroom

Police in Muncie, Indiana found a meth lab inside a Walmart restroom last night. Employees called 911 around 11:30 p.m. after discovering a suspicious backpack in the men’s restroom and when troopers arrived, they found an active meth lab inside the backpack. Investigators dismantled the lab and removed the chemicals from the store. The health department was called in for an inspection and deemed that both the men's and women's restrooms would have to remain closed until they could be professionally decontaminated by a company specializing in meth decontamination. According to experts, meth cooks are place what’s called a “one-pot” meth lab in public places to return later to get the finished product, because they don't want it blowing up their homes. They will dump their trash, which includes Sudafed blister packs Liquid Fire drain cleaner bottles, battery casings and plastic drink bottles with white residue in the bottom, in rural or desolate areas, or in alleys or vacant lots. Obviously, these chemicals are highly flammable, unsafe and can cause permanent damage to organs and the nervous system. Investigators are still working to identify the person who left the backpack inside the restroom.
