An 87-year-old woman from Mayfield Heights, Ohio is facing charges after police say she beat her 86-year-old husband who died days later. Mildred Rastatter is charged with felonious assault against her husband, Thomas, who was taken to a local hospital last week with several bruises and some small stab wounds about his body. He died on Tuesday. Before his death, however, Thomas, who was 86, told hospital officials and police Mildred was responsible for his injuries. She was released from jail and more charges (read: murder charges) could be filed once the medical examiner releases its report.
