Man Who Says DMX Robbed Him First Offered Rapper Drugs, But DMX Declined Offer: lawyer

Over the weekend, a 21-year-old man claimed rapper DMX and his entourage robbed him of $3,200 at gunpoint at a gas station in Newark, NJ. DMX's attorney, Murray Richman has called the accusations "completely bogus." In an interview with NJ Advance, the attorney says the 21-year-old man and his friend recognized the rapper at the gas station and asked to pose for pictures, then they offered DMX drugs, but the rapper declined their offer and "promptly left the scene" due to his previous drug-related arrests. "He had a problem in the past. These guys thought they were being cool with him," Richman said. The attorney says his client is innocent. "He doesn't have a gun. There's video tape on the scene. I imagine the police have it. I don't get it," he said. Now there are a total of two things that don't add up in this story: A 21-year-old cashing a $3200 paycheck on a Saturday night and DMX saying no to drugs. Anyway, as there's an open investigation going on in the matter and investigators were the scene of the alleged robbery today to gather evidence.
