Nova Henry,24, (the mother of NY Knicks center Eddy Curry's son) and her nine-month-old daughter were found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in their South Side Chicago apartment Saturday evening.
Police are questioning Nova's boyfriend, a man neighbors and relatives say is "unstable" with an "anger problem."
"He said there was only one way out of this relationship.... This guy was coming into the neighborhood, making threats, some pretty serious threats and my brothers were watching over Nova... He was dangerous. He sugared her tank. He made life threats. He's not scared of anything."
According to police, Nova took out a restraining order against the boyfriend.
Eddy's, who is accused of making sexual advances at his limo driver, son, Nehemiah, was found unharmed. Eddy has maintained he is not Nehemiah's father, but has refused two requests by Nova to submit to a DNA test; once in 2005 and again last September.
Police have ruled Eddy out as a suspect.
