Akon pleaded guilty Wednesday to a harassment charge for throwing Anthony Smith, now 16, offstage at a June 2007 concert at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, NY.
The crime was recorded, and another concertgoer said she had suffered a concussion when the Anthony landed on her.
According to the terms of the plea bargain, Akon, whose real name is Aliaune Thiam, will serve no jail time as long he performs 65 hours of community service and pays a $250 fine.
