Larry Craig Accepts Defeat, Heads Back to Miserable Closeted Life

Larry Craig, the closeted, anti-gay former Senator, has chosen to accept the guilty plea he made following his 2007 arrest in a Minneapolis airport men's room sex-sting operation. He has dropped the appeal to the Minnesota Supreme Court, because his lawyer said the appeal would not be granted.

Craig was arrested at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on June 11, 2007, by an undercover police officer who said the Craig peeked at him repeatedly through a crack in a stall door, sat down in the stall next to him and used hand and foot signals to indicate he was soliciting sex.

Craig said the cop misinterpreted his signals because he has a wide stance and was merely picking up toilet tissue from the floor in the police officer's stall. Plus, he says he's not gay and was not cruising for sex and even if he were, his action wasn't illegal.

True, it isn't illegal. But his not cruising is a baloney.

The senator quietly pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and paid a fine, but changed his mind after word of his arrest became public.

Since his term ended in the Senate this week, Craig has moved back to Idaho probably cruising more bathrooms, truck stops and parks.

Ehaow!
