When President Obama declared the White House to be the "people's house' during his presidency, we didn't know that meant passersby could just walk on in and ask for a meeting with him.
Cut to yesterday. Usher, who was in Washington on business, entered the northeast gate of the White house hoping to meet the president.
But when a Politico writer informed him:
"Obama had just left for Iowa and wouldn't be inside, the singer seemed disappointed."
"He did?" Usher said.
Note to self: Celebrities can just walk into the White House whenever they want to.
