Michael Jackson Postpones Tour Dates Until 2010!

Some fans of Michael Jackson who thought they would be among the first to attend his monthslong “This Is It” concert series at London’s O2 Arena in July won’t be seeing his performances until next year because he has rescheduled several shows, BBC News reported.

The opening night of the six-month run (with a break from October through December), originally scheduled for July 8, has been postponed until July 12, while other shows planned for that month have been rescheduled for March 2010.

The BBC said the shows had been delayed so Michael could spend more time rehearsing.

In an e-mail message the promoter of the concerts, AEG Live, told the BBC, “We wanted to ensure that all of Michael’s fans attending the concerts get the same quality in staging and level of entertainment.”

The delays immediately stoked speculation that Jackson's health is poor, but promoters said the issue was a production snag.

"There's nothing nefarious," said promoter Randy Phillips, the president of AEG Live. "There's nothing going on with his health."

The postponement came days after a London newspaper reported that Jackson has skin cancer - which his camp steadfastly denied.

Die-hard fans made plans to travel from overseas, and promoters said Wednesday that anyone who can't attend the rescheduled shows will be entitled to a full refund.

The affected dates are as follows:
July 8 - moved to July 13, 2009
July 10 - moved to March 1, 2010
July 12 - moved to March 3, 2010
July 14 - moved to March 6, 2010

We hate to say it: but we fear this tour may soon be cancelled completely. And those 2010 dates are certainly not looking good.

I think its disgusting that people like me were up early, with even my so called special code to get those early tickets to be pushed back to the end of the que 2010!!!We all know it ain't gonna happen!! we give Michael a second chance and this is how he repays us!!! Just goes to show it was all about the money and not for his fans!!!
I can pretty much gurantee these dates won't be the only ones to be cancelled.

A Michael Jackson fan I don't think so anymore, future timing will reveal all!!
