Gay Men's Beauty Pageant Ends in Violence
Have you ever watched or attended a beauty pageant and wanted to give a judge you felt robbed your favorite contestant of the crown a good, stern talking to?
Well, in Chicago, someone did and it escalated into mayhem, broken bones, stitches, and criminal felony charges!
Two men were ordered held on bond Wednesday after they were charged with beating a judge at a gay men's beauty pageant on July 6.
Leroy Tinch, 28, (pictured, left) and Anthony Johnson, 23, (pictured, right) were both charged with aggravated battery with great bodily harm, a class one felony, said Andrew Conklin, a spokesman for the Cook County state's attorney's office.
The men were ordered held on $75,000 bond by Circuit Court Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil.
Prosecutors said the men were at the pageant where Anthony was a contestant and Leroy, a transsexual and has a tattoo of “paw prints” on his chest, was a judge.
Anthony allegedly became angry with another judge (Sebastian Latta) after he voted for a different contestant, grabbed the trophy and hit Sebastian in the head with it. Leroy then jumped in and began hitting the judge with a knife, cutting him over his left eye, police said.
Sebastian's jaw was shattered in three places and suffered a gash on his forehead and a cut on his finger which required seven stitches.
Can't you just picture these queens throwing down, threatening to cut someone? If we close our eyes, we can.
How's everyone, doin'!
